At the GLAMOUR Women of the Year event last night at Carnegie Hall Lifetime Achievement recipient, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, joked that the black justice robes are anything but glamourous.
WOTY lived up to the inspirational night I heard it would be. Coming from the DC market, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Chelsea Clinton delivered professional and positive messages about the growing number of women in politics and law. Lauren Hutton mentioning that the First Lady pays retail for JCrew (Jenna Lyons, the company’s president was a sweet and lovable recipient) brought back memories. The Cut ran a piece about Mrs. O’s wardrobe change into JCrew for a photoshoot we were doing at the White House.
Just when you felt there was almost too much estrogen in Stern Auditorium, Phillip Phillips broke through the NYC Girls’ Night Out vibe singing that popular song, Home, from the 2012 London Olympics, to introduce the final Women of the Year- Team USA. Allyson Felix was definitely the most glamorous last night in a classy black gown and fire engine red lips.
Time to take on the world! Thank you to GLAMOUR photo editor, Brian Marcus, for the invitation to a spectacular night. Also, many thanks to my agents at THE Artist Agency.
